You do not need a public account to browse the chart or create a quote.
Data we store
Apptop stores submitted destination URLs, app names and pitches, reports, server-generated quotes, payment-event identifiers, bid amounts, timestamps, moderation status, and aggregate outbound click counts. A first-party random cookie and a rotating pseudonymous fingerprint are used to estimate active browsers, visits, and unique daily clicks without cross-site tracking. Raw IP addresses are not stored in these analytics tables. Operational security logs may still include IP address and request metadata for a limited period.
Traffic analytics
Apptop uses DataFast on public pages to measure page views, traffic sources, and visitor journeys. The default DataFast tracker may set first-party analytics cookies. Analytics requests are sent directly from your browser to DataFast, which receives network and browser metadata such as the source IP address and user agent. DataFast is not loaded in the private admin area. You can block analytics through your browser or content-blocking settings without losing access to the public leaderboard.
Payment data
Card, bank, or wallet credentials are handled by the configured payment provider, not stored in the Apptop application database. Apptop receives the provider reference, settled amount, status, and information needed to reconcile a payment or reversal.
How data is used
Data is used to calculate and display rank, send traffic through tracked redirects, prevent duplicate settlements, process reversals, investigate abuse, keep the service secure, and comply with legal obligations.
Website previews
After payment or an operator refresh, Apptop may request the submitted public website, a website-favicon provider, or a public X profile to obtain its title, description, favicon, or profile avatar. These requests run on the Apptop server. Browsers receive cached same-origin images and do not contact those image sources directly.
Sharing
Public listing data and aggregate click counts appear on the chart. Payment and infrastructure providers process the minimum information needed to deliver their services. Apptop does not sell personal information or share it for unrelated behavioral advertising.
